U.S. Coast Guard Waste Water Treatment Facility .

Description: The USCG Training Center (TRACEN Petaluma) is designed to be the most environmentally sustainable Coast Guard base in the U.S. The U.S. Coast Guard’s new Wastewater Facility – which reduces the base’s potable water demand by 20,000,000 gallons a year through state of the art wastewater treatment, storage, and water recycling, in a state currently experiencing severe drought, the project is a paragon of environmental achievement. The new buildings, landscaping and site restoration at the bucolic base near Petaluma, CA are designed to enhance the visual environment for the campus community of 127 family housing units.
